We’ve had sickness in our household in one form or another since August. Two toddlers with perpetual snotty noses. A one-year-old son vomiting all over me on the plane home from Thanksgiving. Nausea and morning sickness (my pregnant wife). A kidney stone (me). Also a plumbing disaster in our house in November. Oh, and a car accident in October. When it rains, as they say, it pours.

I’m weary. But I’m guessing you are too. The stuff of life presents manifold reasons to be tired, anxious, stressed, and weary. Life is a grind. But while there are many reasons to be weary, there is one big reason to rejoice.

That’s what we’ll be doing this Sunday night during The Weary World Rejoices: A TGC Advent Concert. We’ll be centering our bruised hearts and exhausted minds on Christ—our savior, redeemer, the Word made flesh. God with us. If you’re able, I strongly recommend you watch the concert Sunday night. It will be streamed on TGC’s website, YouTube, Facebook, and on The Gospel Coalition smart TV apps (on Roku and AppleTV). You can also watch it on demand on any of those platforms after it premieres. You won’t regret carving out an hour of your Advent to enjoy this beautiful lineup of music!
