| This week concludes season 4 of Gospelbound as Melissa Kruger and I discuss my top 10 theology stories of 2021 and what we’re planning for 2022. For listeners of Gospelbound only, I also preview TGC’s plans for our 2023 conference, including a major shift in dates and focus. Lord willing, we’ll be back in 2022 for our fifth season of Gospelbound. I can’t tell you how much your support and encouragement mean to me in this work. Since launching just before the pandemic shut everything down in spring 2020, Gospelbound has been downloaded nearly 2.8 million times. For next season I’ve already recorded one interview with Tom Nelson about his book The Flourishing Pastor. In this week’s episode I mention a few of the guests I’m hoping to book in the new year. I’d appreciate your prayer, as I’m spending three days this week trying to read ahead for future interviews. I’d love to know your favorite episodes from 2020. I’ll mention two that stood out. Andy Crouch continues to amaze me in how well he forecasts the next stage of COVID-19. And Ryan Burge drew out my passion for history, politics, and public opinion as we debated the reasons behind ongoing declines in church affiliation. Lord willing, we’ll return with Gospelbound in late January or early February. I’m teaching cultural apologetics at Beeson Divinity School for the first two weeks of 2022. In the meantime, I wish you a merry Christmas among friends and family! Before the end of 2021, please consider supporting TGC so we can help encourage you with firm faith for our anxious age. With your help, we’ll continue searching for the best guests with insight on how to live with good faith, because we worship a good God. |
