I love the break in routine, the relaxed pace, and the simple joys that come with the season—things like swimming, grilling, and those long, lazy evenings spent outside with family or friends. There’s just something about summer that invites us to slow down and savor. One of my favorite parts of summer is finding more time to read. My to-read pile seems to grow all year, and summer finally gives me the space to enjoy it. Maybe you’re heading out on a road trip, lounging by a pool (how lovely is that?), or simply enjoying the longer days and lighter schedules. Whatever your summer looks like, I hope you can find time to read something that feeds your soul and stirs your mind. In this week’s bonus episode of The Deep Dish, Melissa chats with Collin Hansen, TGC’s editor in chief, about some of their favorite books and why they’re worth reading.
