The Slice

Summer is here, and many of us look forward to a much-needed vacation—a chance to step away from our normal rhythms and find some rest before returning to regular life. We all need rest. Even if we try to ignore our limitations, our bodies are all too ready to remind us of the effects of this broken world. While summer and vacations may offer a temporary reprieve, we have the lasting promise that turning to Jesus when we feel weary and burdened gives us deep, spiritual rest (Matt. 11:29). So, take time to slow down—take a walk, breathe fresh summer air, sleep in—but remember that it’s only in Christ that you will find rest, not just for your body, but for your soul.
