Welcome to our weekly roundup of articles, podcasts, videos, and links curated by pastors, for pastors—to equip and encourage you in your ministry. You don’t have to shepherd alone. Let’s go.

WORD OF THE WEEK

Join The Everyday Pastor at TGC25

In 2 Timothy 2:2, the apostle Paul wrote to his protégé, “What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” We launched the Everyday Pastor podcast just under four months ago, and that’s been our passion. We’ve tried to model how ministers of different generations, experience levels, and even denominations can apply God’s never-changing Word in a fast-changing world. Our goal has been to help pastors grow in their understanding of the nuts and bolts of ministry—and to help them to see its beauty.

If you have the same passion, we’ve designed an auxiliary event at TGC25 just for you. You may already be a pastor—or you may be aspiring to, or training for, ministry. Whatever your current situation, join us for this live recording of The Everyday Pastor. We hope to see you there.

Here are links to other great resources worth your time:
  • David Kaywood reminds pastors that preventing ministry burnout begins with accepting our human limitations. He challenges ministers to see that spiritual maturity is essential for sustainable ministry.

  • Reuben Bredenhof encourages pastors to remember that our most meaningful influence often comes through seemingly small acts of faithfulness—like remembering birthdays, showing up during crises, or simply listening well.

  • In this thoughtful reflection, Sully Curtin explores how children’s natural capacity for imagination can revitalize a pastor’s spiritual life and ministry. He shows how childlike wonder strengthens our grasp of gospel truth and sustains Christian joy in an increasingly complex world.
