As an editor for The Gospel Coalition, I work and live in the online world. I know how ugly it can be. But I also know how much potential there is to be salt and light. As I reflect in this article, the internet is a game-changing technology on par with the printing press in terms of historical significance and opportunity. But the internet is also a mission field that desperately needs voices of truth and hope. Every year, every day, every hour, I see the urgency of this mission grow.

That’s why we are launching a campaign at TGC called Hope for the Searching. Every day people are typing spiritual questions into search engines, and we want to make sure they find solid, trustworthy, gospel-centered answers. We’ll share more about this campaign in the coming weeks, but the article below, and this article from last month, share our heart behind Hope for the Searching.

If you resonate with this vision of bringing light to the darkness of the internet, and providing hope for the searching, consider supporting TGC as we launch this campaign a week from today, on Giving Tuesday. Help us ignite a spark that will, by God’s grace, fan the flames of a digital reformation.
