September was full of firsts. My first visit to the U.S. My first taste of Chick-fil-A. And my first experience of a TGC conference.

Along with thousands of others, I arrived expectantly in Indianapolis for TGC’s National Conference. Each of us was facing different challenges, pressures, and heartbreaks in our homes and churches. Amid all the difficulties of life, I imagine most felt an acute need for hope—and we found it.

The eight keynote speakers explored the theme of Hope in the Wilderness through the Book of Exodus. Time and time again, Jesus Christ was held forth as our only lasting hope. I went home eager to pray for his glory to spread through and transform this wilderness of a world.

Joy springs from hope. And TGC23 was undoubtedly a joyful time. Reflecting on the conference’s atmosphere, Trevin Wax wrote, “Everywhere, everyone exuding joy.” You could hear it in the communal singing and in hallway conversations. You could see it as attendees overflowed in generosity, completely funding our TGC Commentary translation projects.

Whether you were part of that joy or you missed out on the conference entirely, there’s good news: all the audio and video sessions from TGC23 are now available to stream and share.

Renew your hope with the keynote talks and with more than 30 microevents on topics ranging from Tim Keller’s legacy to social media to women’s ministry.

This was my first TGC conference. But, Lord willing, it won’t be my last. In our post announcing the release of TGC23’s content, we also provided info about our future conference plans. You won’t want to miss out! We hope to see you in Indy for our women’s conference in June 2024 or the next national conference in April 2025.

Until then, may Jesus be your hope in the wilderness.
