We want to hear from young writers. Specifically, those aged 16 to 25—born between 2001 and 2010—who are working out their faith in real time and can put it into words (without using AI).

This summer’s essay contest offers three prompts: tell us how your faith helped you kick an unhealthy habit, tell us about the moment a church became your church, or tell us how you’re staying human in an age when AI is everywhere. Each essay should draw on your own experience and conviction, and lean on Scripture to support where you land.

We’re eager to read how a new generation is answering these questions, so don’t hesitate to send us your essay.

Submissions are open June 1 to July 1. First place receives $500 and publication on TGC’s website. Winners will be announced on September 1.

Head to our website to read the full rules and submit your essay.
