In my line of work, I hear a lot of testimonies, and I love every single one of them. So last week, when I saw Wikipedia founder Larry Sanger had come to Christ, I was eager to click on his story.

And then I laughed, because it was so charmingly perfect. Sanger’s written testimony is more than 17,000 words long. It contains a table of contents, hyperlinks to other articles, and 64 footnotes.

Is there any more fitting way for the founder of the world’s “free encyclopedia” to share his testimony? Sanger even came to know Christ through written words—reading the Bible in 90 days and typing out what he was thinking along the way. What a lovely way for the Lord to save him.

If you need a TL;DR for Sanger’s testimony, Trevin Wax has summarized the highlights and added a few great observations for Christians today.

“Larry Sanger’s story is unfinished,” Wax concludes. “He continues to read, write, and think.”

Praise the Lord—and may the same be true of the rest of us.
