| I remember dragging myself into church on a particularly difficult Sunday. My heart was heavy with grief, and I struggled to believe in the Lord’s faithfulness in my circumstances. Staying home would have been easier. But as I stood in church surrounded by fellow believers, the words they sang ministered to my heart. One of the beauties of corporate worship is that even as we sing praises to the Lord, we address our brothers and sisters with the truth of who God is. When we’re too weary with troubles to sing aloud, the body of Christ sings to us, calling us to fix our eyes on the Savior. As we sing of God’s faithfulness, mercy, kindness, and power, we encourage one another to press on, to bring our burdens before the throne of grace, and to rejoice in the God of our salvation. One of my favorite parts of our women’s conferences at The Gospel Coalition is the opportunity to join voices with thousands of believers from around the world to sing about God’s goodness. This year, we’ll gather in Indianapolis, IN on June 20–22 for TGCW24, Behold and Believe: Encountering Jesus as the Great “I AM.” We’re delighted to announce that Shane & Shane will lead worship as we explore who Jesus is through his seven “I Am” statements in the Gospel of John. Known for acoustic praise and worship music, the duo from Texas will prepare a mix of beloved hymns and contemporary worship songs. To celebrate, we’re giving away free conference tickets! Three winners will receive three conference tickets each—that’s a total of nine registrations. Enter here by February 9 for a chance to win conference tickets for you and your friends. Join us in June to worship together as we sing, hear God’s Word taught, and become further equipped in life and ministry. We hope to see you there! In Christ, |
