| I have a friend who knows how to get things done. She is married, has five young children, is pursuing a PhD, handles most of our church’s biblical counseling, and regularly opens her home for food and fellowship. Her high productivity results, in part, from capitalizing on small pockets of time throughout the day. God created us all with different capacities, so it isn’t helpful to play the comparison game when it comes to productivity. But it’s still wise to consider ways to steward the time God has given us. In “Moms, Make the Most of Margin Time,” Ann Swindell writes, “We don’t often have free time. But what we do have…is the opportunity to use our margin time meaningfully.” One of her suggestions is that we use our margin time to pray. Small moments here and there can be precious opportunities to connect with God. This fall we are offering two online cohort workshops, and one of them can help you develop a vibrant prayer life even in a busy season. Our cohort workshops are only two hours long and include teaching time, small group discussion, and Q&A. We’d love for you to join us and registration is open now! Ephesians 5:15 says, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” You don’t have to go to seminary or host weekly dinners to be a good steward of time. Just be on the lookout for ways to use the time you do have for growth in godliness. |
