| It’s not how I expected to spend Easter Weekend—isolated and surrounded by news of peak illness counts and projected fatalities. Death feels close, and my heart is heavy. Yet, our celebration has never been more relevant. As believers, we trust that Jesus Christ has abolished death and brought true life (2 Tim. 1:10). We can look at disease and failing health without fear—the grave no longer has power to keep us. Yesterday, in the face of a pandemic, we remembered Jesus’s death-destroying death. Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate the gospel’s offer of forever life, which is what we—and the hurting world—needs. In the midst of this global crisis, the one death that abolished the power of death gives hope. It’s a hope we want to share. Since casual conversations with friends and neighbors have all but halted, I’m thankful for the opportunity to share our testimonies online through #Jesuschangedmylife. Please join us, and share with others how Jesus changed your life. I hope these resources encourage your celebration of resurrection life, guide you to pray for the vulnerable, and spur discipleship, as they have for me. Sisters, he is risen! Celebrating with you, |
