My five-year-old daughter loves to ask questions, especially during bedtime. I can’t always tell if she’s stalling or not, but I honestly enjoy and usually try my best to answer her many questions. More than a few times she has asked me, “Mommy, everyone knows Jesus, right?”

I sometimes pause with fear to tell my wide-eyed, tender-hearted, rainbows-and-unicorns-loving girl that the world is filled with people who don’t know her hero Jesus. Despite my hesitation, I let her know that there are many, many people who don’t yet know—I mean, really know—how much Jesus loves them. Though she looks at me a bit confused, I tell her, “And that’s why we need to tell more and more people about Jesus.”

My prayer is that she (and we) would delight in God’s mission to redeem a people for himself from every nation, tongue, and tribe. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us in our 40 Days of Prayer and Giving campaign. We’ll share prayer requests for various people groups and churches around the world, so we might intercede with specific petitions, praying “earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest” (Luke 10:2).
