Registration for TGCW20 is Live! I spent last week with plans up in the air as Hurricane Dorian made its way up the eastern coast of the United States. A conference I was supposed to speak at was in the hurricane’s direct path. Each morning I checked the weather, wondering to myself: Is North Carolina going to get hit again so soon? In the waiting and watching, I was thankful for Aimee Joseph’s timely words, “While this unearthing upheaval is terribly uncomfortable, it’s an opportunity to place our hope in our lasting home.” As one set of conference plans unraveled, TGC staff were in the midst of opening registration for our national women’s conference: TGCW20. On June 11-13, women from throughout the United States and beyond will be studying the book of James. As I worked on the conference plans, James’s words of wisdom immediately came to mind: “You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that’” (James 4:14-15). Hopefully, all our plans for TGCW20 will come to fruition. By his grace, thousands of women will spend three days together singing, listening, learning, fellowshipping, and worshiping. We will study the Bible with an amazing lineup of speakers. I’m praying that God will do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think (Eph. 3:20). However, I trust that his providence will lead and direct in the months between now and then. Whatever happens to our plans, may his name be glorified in all that we say and do. I hope God will enable you to join us at TGCW20. Grab some friends, family, neighbors, or co-workers and plan a girls’ getaway centered on the Word of God. Registration is now live! May the Lord guide you continually, |
