| Does the hustle of the Christmas season have you feeling spread thin? Holiday parties, shopping lists, stacks of cards to send, and even spiritual things like Advent reading plans add to the pressure to create the perfect holiday—if we could somehow just “do it all.” This effort often leaves us feeling more exhausted than expectant. But what if experiencing our limitations is a gift we didn’t know we needed? In her recent article, “What Weak Moms Need Most,” Sarah Walton shows us how to see our limits as an invitation to grow in humility and experience God’s grace. While her article specifically addresses moms, we can all apply her wisdom to a variety of situations and relationships. When circumstances reveal “your limitations, weaknesses, and sin,” Walton writes, “you’re right where you need to be to receive the grace and forgiveness Jesus has for you.” Whatever sphere of influence God has given you in this season of life, you will find grace as you come to the end of yourself and your abilities and look to him. Whether your to-do list is completely checked off or growing by the hour, I pray you will rejoice and rest in God’s plentiful grace this Christmas season—and all year long. Much love, COURTNEY DOCTOR Director of Women’s Initiatives P. S.
