February 26, 2026 This week marks the release of perhaps the most significant project yet undertaken by The Keller Center for Cultural Apologetics: Making Sense of Us, filmed on location in New York City with our fellows. We hope to help Christians and churches identify the stories that animate our culture and redirect them to the truth, beauty, and goodness of the gospel. In the years before Tim Keller died, he encouraged the development of evangelistic curriculum that would account for the pervasive influence of cultural narratives. He was concerned by how much evangelistic efforts has become ineffective, even obsolete given the breakdown in shared stories that give meaning, purpose, and direction to life. The title of the curriculum is a play on Keller’s groundbreaking apologetics work Making Sense of God. Effective evangelism requires knowledge of God as well as man. This written and video curriculum, especially intended for group use among young adults, aims to help Christians and non-Christians alike. Even as we evangelize, we’re edified. Making Sense of Us unpacks six key narratives that give voice to our culture’s longings—stories about self, happiness, science, justice, liberty, and progress. Summit Church pastor J. D. Greear said, “Each cultural narrative is explained simply yet with enough of a twist that you’re left going, ‘Wow, that was fresh and profound.’” With a foreword to the study guide written by Michael Keller, the videos feature teaching by Rebecca McLaughlin, Glen Scrivener, Trevin Wax, Sam Chan, Rachel Gilson, Bob Thune, and John Starke. Preview the curriculum online and order your copy today! We’re praying even now for the groups that will use this curriculum. And we can’t wait to hear from you about how God has worked in your midst. ORDER MAKING SENSE OF US |
