As with much of the Mid-West, it is very hot here in Omaha. I cannot imagine living without air conditioning. What a huge blessing.
Also, I switched over to Logos from BibleWorks for Bible Software. If anyone has any recommendations or feedback let me know (comments, email, twitter).
The C.J. Mahaney / Sovereign Grace Ministries Fiasco: Jesse walks through the current controversy and isolates a couple of root causes (failures) for the current mess, 1) Church Government and 2) Charismatic Theology. I personally read through a few pages of the ‘wiki leak’ and found it to be pastorally nauseating. It read like the game film of years of bad meetings and relationships with lots of grinding axes. I think this article is a helpful time-saver. I pray that this situation gets better before it gets worse.
How the Gospel Makes us Generous and Content with our Money: Great article here from Zach Nielson. He strikes the appropriate balance (makes us think and pray).
Ferguson on Killing Sin: (ht Challies)
Ninja Volley / Soccer: This is awesome. I would pay to see this. (ht)
