“You may ask me (Jesus) for anything in my name, and I will do it.” (John 14:14); “If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” (1 John 5:14-15)

Lord Jesus… hallelujah, you’re not our private Genie giving us three wishes; you’re our sovereign Master—numbering our days and hairs, setting up and sitting down kings, working in all things all the time for our good and your glory.

You delight in us asking you for things that seem impossible—things beyond our control, things that will bring you glory. Here’s our ask-list on this March Tuesday.

Jesus, for ourselves, we ask to be restored to our first-love passion for you, for your glory, and for your will (Rev. 2:4). Cause us to delight in you afresh with childlike freedom, obey you quickly with joy, and love others as you love us.

We also plead for the war in Ukraine to be over soon—very soon. By your redeeming heart and mighty hand, please grant success to peace talks, provision for the growing number of refugees, and supernatural care for traumatized children.

May your church and lambs in Russia, Ukraine, bordering countries—really, throughout the world, enter a season of renewal and revival. Times of crisis, tragedy, and evil have often led to a fresh outpouring of your Holy Spirit. This seems to be a perfect time and scenario for just such a mighty movement of the Gospel. How could this not be in keeping with your will, a joy to your heart, and a manifestation of your glory, Jesus? So Very Amen.
