Heavenly Father, what a gift Psalm 136 is—just like every portion of your Word. In each of its 26 verses, this same declaration reverberates 26 times, with great joy, “His love endures forever.”
Your incomparable love for us in Jesus is the most glorious, necessary, satisfying, unwavering, centering, liberating, hope-giving reality in our lives. Hallelujah, and thank you.
Your love endures forever. Covid won’t and divisiveness can’t. Kindness will, but meanness shan’t. “Us versus Them” will perish, and reconciliation of your from-every-nation children will thrive.
Your love endures forever. Our brokenness, selfishness, knowing-you-in-part and loving-others-in-part all have an expiration date. Your worship-worthiness, mercy, grace, and love will grow exponentially forever.
Your love endures forever. Conspiracy theories, misrepresentations of you, and “my-race-supremacy” will all burn up. Your truth, glory, and Christ-supremacy will abound, fill the earth, and be our delight forever. Father, we crave that Day more than ever. So very Amen we pray, in Jesus’ tender and triumphant name.
