“For Christ’s love compels us…” 2 Cor. 5:14
Oh to live today not compelled by fear of what people think, nor by the memory of past betrayals, nor by the aggravations of daily life, nor by the uncertainty of a fragile economy, nor by the limitations that come with age, neither by the shame of my own failures, but to live compelled by the love of Jesus. The gospel reveals and delivers the multi-dimensions of Jesus’ love that are described as being long, wide, high and deep (Eph 3:18-19)-a love so great it requires the power of God to grasp! Astounding! “Lord, I believe, help me in my unbelief!” May the contra-conditional, irrepressible, immeasurable, and inexhaustible love of Jesus compel us to love him and others today in kindness, gentleness and hope.
