“He isn’t here, for he has risen, as he said!” Matt. 28:6
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade… In all this you greatly rejoice.” 1 Peter 1:3-6a
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! HALLELUJAH! Lord Jesus, you have risen, and you are reigning. Just as the prophets prophesied, just as you promised. Our gratitude is swelling and our fears are falling; for you have robbed the grave, routed the devil, and ransomed us.
“In Christ” is our permanent address, and “beloved” is our eternal reality. Jesus, because of what you’ve done for us, we’re no longer spiritual orphans—we are heaven-destined children of Abba, Father. Never again slaves to sin and shame—we are fully known and lavishly loved.
Peace claims our core
Hope defines our future
Grace is the air we breathe
Joy is the music of our dance
Freedom is our status and calling
“All things new” is our secure inheritance
Oh, the wonder, marvel, and gratitude that fills our hearts today, Lord Jesus. May we spend the rest of our days living in you, by you, with you, for you. Hallelujah, and So Very Amen
