“To him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine… to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” Eph. 3:20-21

Heavenly Father, on this June Saturday, we are grateful for your non-stop commitment to work in all things for your glory and for our good. May we fear measurably less as you do immeasurably more than we can imagine.

Today our prayer lists contain all-sized requests—mini, mid-size, and major. We won’t put them in columns of importance, just bring them all to your throne of grace. Father, an always-prayer of ours is to know, love, and trust you more and more. Our hearts drift, our bodies hurt, our challenges mount, our world is fragile. Make the words of this old hymn first on our heart’s playlist.

“This is my Father’s world: O let me ne’er forget that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.” This is who you are, Father.

We also pray for resolution in the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, for fresh encouragement for pastors and missionaries serving Jesus around the world, and provision for our neighbors most impacted by soaring inflation.

On a more personal level, we ask you to capture, or recapture, the hearts of our children, grandchildren, spouses, and friends. Father, make the Gospel beautiful and irresistible to them.

Lastly, expressing our need for a fresh supply of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, replace our snarkiness with kindness, our irritability with gentleness, our self-pity with Jesus-adoration, and our navel-gazing with a compelling vision of our coming life in the new heaven and new earth. Thank you, Father. So Very Amen.
