My soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Ps. 62:5-8

Heavenly Father, nothing compares with the rest we have from being certain of your great love for us, and absolute sovereignty over us. Because the Gospel is true, we live in your permanent favor and unwavering delight. Jesus is our perpetual Sabbath, perfect righteousness, and reigning King.

Our honor and hope come from you, Father—not from people, positions, or possessions. Through Jesus, you set us free from scorecards, measuring sticks, and spiritual thermometers. We’re not standing knee-deep in grace, but whole-person deep; for you have hidden our lives in Christ. Thank you!

Father make these truths more real to us than our next breath, cup of water, and piece of bread. Free us to live more from the riches of our rest, and less from the restlessness of stress. Help us shake off disappointments quicker, and downsize our expectations of mere people.

Bring your grace to our frayed edges, messiest relationships, and yet-to-be-seen outcomes. Fill our hearts with the beauty of Jesus and the certainty of heaven. You are so kind and generous, Father. We love and trust you. So very Amen we pray, in Jesus’ mercy-full and trustworthy name.
