This gospel
“All over the world this gospel is producing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.” Col 1:6
What an amazing understanding, experience and vision picture Paul had of the gospel, make that, this gospel. For Paul clearly distinguished his gospel, this gospel, from every other pseudo-wannabe-counterfeit gospel. Any “gospel” that isn’t primarily a revelation of “God’s grace in all its truth,” that is, a revelation of everything Jesus has accomplished for us by his life, death, resurrection and ascension is no gospel at all. In fact it is anti-gospel. There is only one gospel which has the power to produce fruit “all over the world”-among every people group and in every sphere of life, and in a stony-soiled, weed-infested, nutrient-lacking heart like mine-the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, the gospel of God’s grace, this gospel!
