Trustworthy, Trust-Willing, Trust-Enabled

“Nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
Lord Jesus, how fitting that these words were spoken to your mother, Mary: “Nothing will be impossible with God.” The angel was preparing her for the “impossibility” of her womb becoming the habitation of God-incarnate for 9 months. From there, you would enter our world to redeem your every-nation Bride and “make all things new.” Traveling from heaven into a stable, to your cradle, cross, and crown—what could be more impossible?
On December 7, 2025, your incarnation fuels gratitude in my heart. Thank you for making the impossible actual. Thank you for your unimaginable humility and your immeasurable love. It also raises my trust issues. Can I, will I trust you for things that seem impossible? I’m not talking about “trusting” you for a chalet in Switzerland or a helicopter for running errands.
Can we trust you to work in the lives of our loved ones—without us mucking things up trying to be the 4th member of the Trinity? Can we, will we trust you when  “darkness hides your lovely face,” leaving us to “rest on your unchanging grace?” When the pain won’t abate, the conflict isn’t resolved, the next step isn’t clear, not a fig blossom in on our vines, the diagnosis was missed, the peace on earth you promised seems like pie in the sky?
Biblically and theologically, we know you are 1000% trustworthy, Jesus. That’s not the issue. But we ask you to make us more trust-willing and trust-enabled. You are at work. You are in control. You do love. You will redeem. You will finish making all things new. Hallelujah, thank you, and So Very Amen.
