Seven of the best articles I came across this week:
1. Who Was Athanasius and Why Was He Important? Ryan Reeves is blogging through my list of top 5 Christian theologians, and he begins with Athanasius.
2. Vincent Bacote – A Different Kind of Public Theologian. Assessing the legacy of Billy Graham as “public theologian.”
3. Nicholas Kristof in The New York Times – A Confession of Liberal Intolerance. This op-ed is remarkable for discussing evangelical discrimination
4. Bethany Jenkins – When You Don’t Love Your Job. Wise, vulnerable, and beneficial work from Bethany here.
5. Jason Allen – 8 Tips for Beginning Preachers. Good counsel here for young preachers.
6. David French – A Sad Video Highlights the Contradictions and Tragedy of the Transgender Moment. As thousands of years of human experience have taught us, if one’s desires are disordered, then achieving them often means heartache.
7. Melissa Dahl – What Cringing at Your Own Dumb Voice Reveals about You. I love scientific explanations of common experiences.
