The Gospel & Eschatology (Panel)

If the good news of the gospel is about redemption, then it’s also about eschatology. Before there were end-times predictions and worries over who will be left behind, the “last things” began with the first things in Eden. What does this mean for God’s people in the Old Testament, the New Testament, throughout church history, and what does it mean for you in the here and now? We’ll talk about why this matters and how it impacts your daily Christian walk.

Gregory K. Beale (PhD, University of Cambridge) is Professor of New Testament at RTS Dallas. He has had a long and distinguished academic career, teaching at Grove City College, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Wheaton Graduate School, and Westminster Theological Seminary. Before joining the RTS Dallas faculty in 2021, he served as Westminster’s J. Gresham Machen Chair and Research Professor of New Testament and Biblical Interpretation. He is a past president of the Evangelical Theological Society.

Ligon Duncan (PhD, University of Edinburgh) is chancellor and CEO of Reformed Theological Seminary, president of RTS Jackson, and the John E. Richards professor of systematic and historical theology. He is a Board member of The Gospel Coalition. His new RTS course on the theology of the Westminster Standards is now available via RTS Global, the online program of RTS. He and his wife, Anne, have two adult children.

Lane G. Tipton (PhD, Westminster Theological Seminary) is Charles W. Krahe Chair Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. He is co-editor of Resurrection and Eschatology: Theology in Service of the Church and Revelation and Reason: New Essays in Reformed Apologetics.

Jeff Jue is a senior fellow in Christianity and Culture at The King’s College. Previously Jeff has served as vice president of operations at The Gospel Coalition, managing director at the American Bible Society, and as provost and executive vice president at Westminster Theological Seminary. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Jane, and their three children.
