Why is identity such a headline today?

There are many reasons. Debates over gender and human sexuality continue to rage. The moral failures of evangelical leaders cause many to exit the church. Trauma, loss, and injustice disorient those who wonder where God is in the chaos. We endlessly compare ourselves to others online and through social media, diminishing our sense of self-worth.

In this confusing environment, which erodes any stable sense of identity, TGC exists to remind people of the gospel一the message that Christ holds all things together, cherishes and protects his people, and promises to one day make everything sad come untrue.

TGC is a diverse community of theologians, pastors, and authors who thoughtfully address the deepest desires of our culture: to find meaning, hope, purpose, and identity. Since 2005, we’ve been an online refuge that winsomely一in grace and truth一engages with skeptics and strengthens the saints.

Our co-founder Tim Keller went to be with the Lord this year, and as he would have wanted, we are continuing the urgent task of producing gospel resources for a post-Christian age. The work is just beginning. To continue producing excellent resources like Identity Theft, we rely on support from believers like you.

Will you consider donating to TGC, so we can continue to engage our world with the life-giving message of the gospel?
